Yoga in 2021 and Beyond

I am no longer offering any regular, ongoing classes. Instead, starting in spring 2021, all my teachings will be offered through workshops, intensives, and retreats. Check back for workshop announcements, or scroll down and subscribe to my newsletter to stay informed.

In the meantime, your home practice can see you through. If you click on the Practice Sequences tab above, you’ll find suggested resources from me for a fruitful home practice, including general suggestions for structuring your practice, an immunity-boosting sequence from BKS Iyengar, and several other recommended sequences that I hope you will find useful.

Take care, be well,
Tony

The path which is crossed is gone in a moment, but the path which is followed goes on forever.

I began my yoga studies in 1978, more than 40 years ago. From the beginning until 2002, I studied at length with senior Iyengar Yoga teachers such as Judith Lasater, Manouso Manos, Kofi Busia, and Ramanand Patel. On several occasions during that time I had the great good fortune to be able to study directly under the watchful eyes of BKS Iyengar and Geeta Iyengar, both in India and here in the U.S.

I began teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1985 and taught ongoing, weekly public classes until spring 2020. I continue to teach workshops, retreats, various teacher-training programs, and advanced teachers’ consultation groups.

Still going strong.

Riffs & Rants

[In Tony’s classes] I always feel I am taken somewhere magical, not always easy, and brought back with a pocket full of jewels

There truly aren’t words with which to properly thank you for your impact on my life these past three years. Your teaching and your particular transmission of this practice have transformed my way of being in the world so far beyond my yoga mat.
